Holten Ball Obituary

HOLTEN BALL, 96, of Elkview passed away peacefully in his home, surrounded by family on Wednesday, January 10, 2024.
A career Navy man; Holten was a sweet, caring soul, a loving husband, father and grandfather. An avid Street Rod and aviation enthusiast, Holt cherished building cars and airplanes, driving and flying, educating fellow enthusiasts, and the wonderful relationships he forged in the process. He was a profoundly positive influence on family and friends, and leaves a legacy impossible to duplicate. He will be sorely missed by many.
He is preceded in death by his mother, Hazel Ball, father, Edward Ball, and sister, Marie Kandlbinder.
Holten is survived by Dixie Ann Ball, his wife of 76 years, daughters Linda Ball and Jane Dye (David), and son, Steve Ball (Shelley) as well as his grandson, Jonathan Dye (Marlee Layh), and granddaughter Carly Dye.
At his request, there will be no formal memorial services held. In lieu of flowers or food, the surviving Ball family requests that condolences be offered in the way of donations to the CAMC Cancer Center in Charleston, WV.
