April 5, 2003 - August 6, 2021

Ryan Smith, 18, gained his angel wings suddenly on August 6, 2021. His services will be held this Thursday at Lexwin Baptist Church, located at 100 Wainwright St., Winston-Salem, NC 27107. Services will begin at 2:00pm.

Ryan was born at Forsyth Hospital to Christina and Terry Smith on April 5, 2003.

Ryan is preceded in death by by his grandfathers, Clifton Eugene Goodwin and Larry Douglas Smith.

Ryan is survived by his soul mate, Alyssa Mabe, and his daughter, Emma Jayce Smith, who were each other's world; his parents, Christina and Terry Smith; his older brother, Terry Smith, Jr. (TJ) (wife Haley Smith) who he worked with at Pro Tree and who he always looked up to; two older sisters, Cristen Smith (fiance Jermaine Parsons) - his secret-keeper and whom he confided in - and Ashlynn Smith (fiance Bobby Woolen) whom he loved and admired; his half-sister, Autumn Foutch whom he loved to pick on; his grandparents, Gloria Jean Goodwin and Deborah Sue Hackett Zimmerman; his seven nieces and six nephews whom he held close to his heart; and multitude of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends that he considered family. A special thanks to Matthew Shelton, Paige Talarico, Christian Vanderburg and Phoebe Gravely.

Ryan will be tremendously missed but never forgotten. We will always keep his spirit alive. We love you 2222 much Ryan Harley and we will meet again son.
