John George Obituary
October 1, 1935 - June 3, 2022
John Fletcher George, Sr. was the son of the late Aubrey and Effie George of Winston-Salem, NC. He was married for 68 years to Barbara Perdue George, the love of his life.
He is survived by children Joan Joyce (Dale), John George, Jr. (Dianne), Donna Newhouse (Joe) of Winston-Salem and seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Also surviving are his sisters, Virginia (Jenny) Grubbs, of Walkertown and Judy Hullette (Gene) of Winston-Salem.
In lieu of flowers, the family is asking for contributions to be made to Faith Church (1078 Gumtree Rd., Winston-Salem, NC 27107) and/or Community Home Care & Hospice (1308 Davie Ave., Statesville, NC 28677).
Visitation will be at Faith Church on Tuesday, June 7, 2022 from 12 p.m. to 1 p.m. followed by a service at Faith from 1 to 2 p.m. Mausoleum service will be held at Eastlawn Gardens of Memory in Kernersville (530 Dobson St., Kernersville, NC 27284) after service.
