Marilyn Sundwall Obituary

Marilyn Lee Sundwall, age 84, of Killingworth, formerly Wallingford, passed away surrounded by her family on May 2, 2025. For 67 years, she was the loving wife of James H. Sundwall Jr. Marilyn was a sweet, caring, and loving soul who touched the hearts of everyone she met. Her warmth and kindness were evident in every interaction, and she was a true friend to so many. She had a deep love for their dog "Buddy" and found great joy in the quiet pleasures of reading and doing puzzles. Her greatest joy, however, was her family-especially her grandchildren, who were the light of her life. In her professional career, Marilyn worked for the former Tollgate Foods, as a bookkeeper for many years until her retirement. In addition to her husband, she is survived by her children, Kimberly Judenis and her husband Paul and Kris Sundwall and his wife Jill, all of Wallingford; her grandchildren, Madison Sundwall(Sweetheart), James Judenis(Angel), McKenna Sundwall(Precious), Lindsay Judenis(Sweetpea), and Macey Sundwall(Sunshine), and her great granddaughter Kennedy Williams(Little Precious), her sister-in-law Sandra Sundwall, her dear friend Paula DeMatteo and her cherished nieces and nephews. Marilyn was predeceased by her brother-in-law David Sundwall, special friends Collis and Gerry Wrightington and Barbara Skolones. All Funeral Services will be private. Arrangements have been entrusted to Wallingford Funeral Home 809 N. Main St. Ext., Wallingford. In lieu of flowers, donations in Marilyn's name may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital at www.stjude.org.
