Joel Peck Obituary

Joel (Joe) Thomas Peck, born April 3, 1955, to Terry and Pearl Peck, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on December 5, 2023, in Garland, TX.

Joe graduated from Waverly-Shell Rock High School, Class of 1973. Following graduation, Joe worked for John Deere from 1973-1992. He then worked for American Security Devices from 1992-2021, when he retired.

Joe was an avid hunter, loved to travel, and play poker. Joe volunteered for the Preservation Society at a local park. He was also an amazing handyman and could fix most anything around the house.

Joe is survived by his wife Patty of 15 years, his children Adam Peck and Barrett Peck, grandchildren Porter, Payton and Parker Peck, siblings, Ron Peck, Karen Woltz, Doreen Sweeney, Bill Peck, Mary Peck, Carol Peck, Jennifer Bloker. He was proceeded in death by his father, mother, and sister Kathy Smith.

Memorials may be directed to Joe's family for later designation. A celebration of life memorial will be planned for January 2024 with date and time to be determined.

I am s classmate and friend of Joe's. My sincere condolences go out to the family. I was a friend and worked for a short time at his dad's dealership. Time and distance separated us and I will miss him dearly.
