Carlos Zamora Obituary

McAllen - Carlos A. Zamora, age 69 entered the Lord's heavenly kingdom on November 4 ,2023. He was born on February 9,1954 to Alberto Zamora and Dolores Jurado in Big Lake, Texas. Carlos was a military retiree having enlisted in the United States Army in 1975 and retired in 1996. Upon his military retirement he made his home in San Antonio Tx. He obtained his BA degree in Criminal Justice from the University of Texas at San Antonio. Carlos worked for UTSA and later for the Texas Department of Transportation. In 2022 he relocated to McAllen, TX.

Carlos leaves behind to cherish his loving memory; his beloved partner, Cathy Lee Hastings; sons, Steven Zamora (Sierra), David Zamora (Melissa); daughter, Marissa Zamora; sisters, Angelita Luevano (Victor+), Carmen Nordlund (John+), Sonia Walsh (Frank Salinas); brother, Joe Zamora (Alicia), his grandchildren, nephews and nieces.

A memorial service will be held on November 17, 2023, from 8:00 a.m.- 10:00 a.m. with a memorial service to begin at 9:00 a.m. with Father Tom Pincelli as celebrant at Trinity Funeral Chapel of the Holy Spirit. A funeral procession will depart Trinty Funeral Home at 10 a.m. for an 11:00 a.m. inurnment at RGV Veterans Memorial Park Cemetery in Mission, Texas.
