Mr. Barnard was the driver for the Prue & Son Harness horse racing. I met Mr. Barnard when I was just 19yo that was on a date with Albert Prue, Jr. Albert brought me to the horse entrance of the Hopkinson Fair. I had never heard of sulky (harness) horse racing. I grew up in Concord at a strict proper girls home; young city girl knowing nothing about this sport. George was very kind in answering my questions. To this day it is funny, Albert Prue, Sr asked me where pieces of race equipment went on the horse, rubber circular things. I guessed they went over the horses ears. My nativity caused a loud laughing raucous with George, Prue Sr, Prue Jr, his Mother & a few other racing `family´ at their end of the barn. Godless you George. My condolences to his family. Sincerely, Deborah Tinker (formerly married to Albert Prue Jr)
