Pasquale Cozzolino Obituary

Pasquale Cosmo "Pat" Cozzolino, 82, beloved husband for 60 years of Bobette (LaPere) Cozzolino, of Saratoga Ave., Westerly, passed away at The Westerly Hospital on Monday, March 21, 2022.

Born in Acri, Italy, he was the son of the late Carmine and Maria Cozzolino. He emigrated from Italy at the age of 16 to pave the way for his family and arrived in Westerly in 1955.

Pat worked as a design supervisor for The Moore Company for more than 50 years. He was a communicant of St. Pius X Church and a member of the Calabrese Society, the Westerly BPOE #678 and the Hilltop Social Club. Pat loved tending to his vegetable garden, foraging for mushrooms, and making homemade wine and soupy with his entire family surrounding him. He also loved his Thursday night bowling and going to "the club".

He will be dearly missed by his loving wife Bobette and their four children, Joseph P. Cozzolino and partner Nicole of Mendon, MA, Patrick A. Cozzolino of Westerly, RI, Dr. David J. Cozzolino of Wilmington, DE and Gina C. Mayo and husband Christian of Bradford, RI. Pat, known as "Nootzie" to his nine grandchildren, Niki, Abby, Sydney, Anna, Sofia, Marco, Asa, Jackson, and Caleb, will be truly missed. His greatest joy was spending time with them all. Pat also leaves behind six siblings, Joseph Cozzolino of Francenigo, Italy, Louis Cozzolino of Westerly, Pina Piscitelli and Maria Tucci, both of Acri, Italy, Adele Cozzolino of Westerly and Annette Mannix of Warwick; as well as many nieces and nephews.

Visiting hours will be held on Friday, March 25th, from 4-7pm at Gaffney-Dolan Funeral Home, 59 Spruce St., Westerly. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, March 26th, at 11am at St. Pius X Church, 44 Elm St., Westerly. There is no procession from the funeral home to church.
