Bonnie Oakley Tuttle, passed away on Sunday, Aug. 25, 2024, after an extended illness. She was preceded in death by her husband, Owen Tuttle. The daughter of Jones and Ruby Oakley; she was one of nine children, Hazel (Buddy) Bennett, Boyd (Barbara) Oakley, Sylvia (George) Watts, Kay (Charlie) Wilfong, Jane (David) Wiles, Hovice (Lynn) Oakley, Sammy (Lynn) Oakley, and Jake (Alma) Oakley. She was the mother of four children, Patrick (Carol) Tuttle, Victor (Ashley) Tuttle, Jonathan Tuttle, and Katy (Adam) Shick; eight grandchildren, Jenna (Michael) Woodcock, Olivia Tuttle, Courtney (Jordan) Mercer, Ben Tuttle, Abby Tuttle, Ava (Hara) Sakarya, Owen Shick, and Tyler Pitts; great-grandchildren, Warren Woodcock. She and her husband operated Tuttle Tax & Accounting for almost 40 years serving the needs of small businesses throughout Stokes County. Additionally, she was a public servant for 14 years, first as a member of the Stokes County Board of Education, then as a member of the Board of Commissioners. Her life will be honored with a service at Christ Episcopal Church, on Summit Street in Walnut Cove, on Saturday, Sept. 7, at 11 a.m.. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Neal-Tuttle Cemetery Fund, 1327 Dodgetown Road, Walnut Cove, NC 27052.

We love Bonnie ate lunch with her a lot after church at Rosebud Christian Church love all of her stories. Great worker in the church. She will be missed!
