DENNIS LINGLE Obituary

CLEARFIELD - Dennis L. Lingle, 66, of Clearfield passed away Nov. 11, 2023.

He was born Aug. 8, 1957.

He graduated from the Clearfield Area High School in 1975.

He was unapologetically focused on his children's happiness and a supportive husband. Among many business ventures, he most notably owned and operated B&R Equipment Supply Company and was extremely knowledgeable about the coal and mining industries. He enjoyed the outdoors, spending free time at Linglewood Lodge and the associated grounds as much as possible. He was also an automotive hobbyist and had an unmatched attention to detail.

He is survived by his sisters, Carol Briskar and Doris Gardner of Clearfield, his brother, Ralph Lingle, of Clearfield, his two sons, Brandan Lingle of Tampa, Fla., and J Lingle of Carlisle, and daughters-in law, Emily Lingle of Tampa, Fla., and Amanda Lingle of Carlisle.

He is also survived by an extended family with many nieces, nephews and loving cousins who have been an overwhelmingly caring and close part of the family.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Carol Lingle, who he married on Aug. 22, 1978; they enjoyed spending time near the ocean together. He is also preceded in death by Ralph and Jane Lingle, his parents, and his brother, Randy Lingle.

A visitation will be held at 10:30 a.m. with memorial service beginning at 11 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 16 at the Hyde Wesleyan Church in Clearfield. Pastor Angel Scribe will officiate.

Light refreshments for family and friends will be available following the service at the church.

Reed Funeral Home in Houtzdale is in charge of the arrangements.

In lieu of flowers, the family has designated Hyde Wesleyan Church for memorial contributions.
