Erma Giffin Obituary

Erma V. Giffin GIFFIN, ERMA V., age 89, of Maryville, died Tuesday, September 26, 2023 in her home. Erma was a woman of dignity, grace, and beauty whose gift was love. She was warm and caring and deeply loved by her family and friends. Erma had a successful career with the Alcoa Aluminum Company for several years. She was a Christian who often spoke of her incredible life journey. Erma was proceeded in death by her parents Carmel and Cora Jones, and her beloved husband, Richard Lynn Giffin. She was the last survivor of nine children. Survivors include nieces and nephews, Debbie Fields of Maryville, Ann Jones of Maryville, Denise Jones of Alcoa, William Jones, AL, Kent Jones, NC, Vernon Cannon, AL, Katie Cannon Myers of Maryville, Karen Jones of Lenoir City, Glen Jones, GA, Joel Jones, GA, Sharon Carrillo, GA, Tami Giffin Hargis of Maryville, Bobby Giffin of Maryville, Mike Giffin of Manchester, Steve Giffin of Fayetteville, Becky Giffin Tucker of Maryville, Deana Bishop of Maryville, along with several great nieces and nephews and cousins. Family will receive friends from 2 - 3 pm Sunday, October 1, 2023 at McCammon-Ammons-Click Mortuary with the funeral following. Entombment will be on Monday, October 2, 2023, at Grandview where Erma will be laid to rest with her beloved husband Lynn.
