Rose Kuhl Obituary
February 25, 1944 - October 19, 2023
Sacramento, California - Rose Elaine Kuhl, a native of New Orleans and resident of Sacramento, passed away peacefully on October 19, 2023 at the age of 79.
She moved to Sacramento in 1964 where she began her career in the legal field. She moved to San Francisco for six years, ultimately returning to Sacramento. Rose worked in the legal field until her retirement in 2009.
Although Rose loved her career, she will most notably be remembered for her zest for life and giving spirit. She was a southern belle that would surprise you with her witty sass and colorful stories. Her love for everyone around her was something that could be seen and felt instantly-unless you were playing a card game, then she was ruthless. Rose was her family's biggest supporter of passions, always encouraging dreams and aspirations. She was "home" for those closest to her, filling hearts with love and bellies with her cooking.
Rose is survived by her step-children, Lisa (Kraig) Keehner, Scott (Kimber) Kuhl, Cheryl Dilbeck (Jeffrey Asselin), six grandchildren, Rachael Dilbeck, Caleb Kuhl, Justin (Stephanie) Keehner, Joshua (Emily) Kuhl, Kira Keehner and Noah Kuhl, as well as many loving nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James Kuhl, her parents, Henry and Veronica Tujague, her sister, Pearl Lagarde, and her three brothers, Archibald Castell, Eugene Castell, and Harold Castell, Sr.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. John's Lutheran Church, 1701 L Street, Sacramento, CA 95814

Oh Rose, you will be missed by so many of us. You were more than a co-worker to me. You were a good friend!!! I am hoping you are in the arms, dancing in heaven, with your precious Jim. Will miss your Christmas Cards and news of the family. Love you!!! Cathy (and Randy too)
