Ester, Alaska - Kent Henderson Setzer, born on December 28, 1950 to Lois and Hardie Setzer, passed away on June 29th, 2023. He is survived by his loving daughter, Summer, Nicholas, and brothers Todd, Scott, and Mark. Kent's life was marked by a series of unique and significant experiences. He graduated from David Lubin elementary and Jesuit High School in Sacramento and later embarked on a remarkable journey when he moved to Alaska in 1970. His memory will be cherished by those who knew him. In his younger days, Kent was a man of many passions. He was an avid skier and had a deep love for the outdoors, where he enjoyed duck hunting and fishing. These pursuits allowed him to connect with nature and find joy in the beauty of the world around him. Kent was a farrier by trade and his specialty was knives. His dedication to this craft was evident in the exceptional pieces he created throughout his life. Kent's expertise was not only a skill but a true passion that he shared with those around him. Kent will be fondly remembered for his talent and the impact he made on the lives of those who had the privilege of knowing him.
