Tony Allan Martin, 82, of Roanoke, Va., passed away on Sunday, November 5, 2023. He retired from Norfolk Southern.
Tony was preceded in death by his father, Amon Lewis Martin; his mother, Margie Mae Martin; and his brother, Larry Gene Martin.
Surviving is his wife, Lynnette Martin; daughters, Angela Martin and Amy Martin Hodges (Chris); grandchildren, Aubrey Claire Hodges and Holden Christopher Hodges; stepsons, Philip Hatter (Jessie) and Sean Hatter (Alison); step grandchildren, Ezra, Elias, Levi, Titus, Zeke, Gabe, and Virginia; brothers, Francis Martin, Bill Martin, and Glenn Martin (Carolyn); sisters, Brenda Martin Belcher (Robin) and Rhonda Martin Moses (Butch); and his caregiver and best friend, Cherokee Stanley.
The family wishes to thank the amazing staff at Salem Health and Rehab.
The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. on Thursday, November 9, 2023, at Oakey's South Chapel. The Funeral Service will be conducted at 10 a.m. on Friday, November 10, 2023, at Oakey's South Chapel with the Rev. Nelson Harris officiating. Burial will follow at Sherwood Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to The Parkinson's Foundation. Condolences may be shared with the family at www.Oakeys.com.
