Winchester, NH - Shannon L. Gusan, 46, a lifelong resident of Winchester, passed away peacefully in the comfort of her home on Wednesday, October 25, 2023 with the love of family by her side.

She was born a daughter to Rose M. (Bailey) Gusan and Michael J. Gusan on March 14, 1977 in Greenfield, MA. She was educated locally at Thayer High School in Winchester, class of 1995.

Shannon recently worked at Estey Dental Center in Brattleboro, VT. for 2 years as the front desk receptionist. Prior to that she worked for Childrens Dental Care of Keene for 15 years where she worked passionately as a Certified Dental Assistant. Before that she worked for Dr. Dewey Miller of Keene for 7 years and Dr. Jeffrey Traft of Greenfield MA where her career as a dental assistant began at the age of 18.

Shannon loved to spend her free time outdoors by going fishing, hiking, kayaking, and being at the ocean, lake or rivers. She also loved to gather around a bon fire with friends, singing along to loud music, doing puzzles, and her many loved animal companions. Shannon enjoyed traveling, going for long drives, and discovering new places. The thing Shannon loved most in life was creating memories with her family and friends and raising her 2 daughters.

Ms. Gusan is survived by her two children, Kaylyn M. Roy of Keene, Bayleigh R. Roy of Winchester, her mother, Rose M. Gusan of Winchester, her father, Michael J. Gusan and his wife, T.J. Altanirano of Tucson, AZ., and her brother, Brandon M. Gusan of Willimantic, CT. She is also survived by her five grandchildren, Carleigh Snyder, Karson Giffin, Marlie Snyder, Rhea Snyder, and Rhylie Snyder, along with many cousins, nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

Calling hours will be from 12:00pm to 2:00pm on Saturday, November 4, 2023 at the Cheshire Family Funeral Chapel, 44 Maple Ave. Keene, NH. 03431. A funeral service will be at 2:00pm on Sunday, November 5, 2023, also at the Cheshire Family Funeral Chapel. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that all donations may be made out to the Children's Fund for Education through the Cheshire Family Funeral Home, P.O. Box 19 West Swanzey, NH. 03469.
