Meredith Lee Cravener, 82, of Hershey, passed away peacefully on May 19, 2022 at Country Meadows of Hershey. She was born April 28, 1940 in Apollo, PA, a daughter of the late Earl S. and Lucy P. (Grey) Conner. She was also preceded in death by her brother and sister-in-law, Chester and Freda Conner formerly of Hershey; sisters and brothers-in-law, Flora May and Clyde Shaffer formerly of Indian Wells CA, Sandra B. and Wally Johnson formerly of Mechanicsburg. Meredith is survived by her daughter, Cindy L. Wallett of Hummelstown, grandson, Andrew S. Wallett of Allentown and her devoted companion of 30 years, Thomas F. DiVittore of Middletown. In 1962 Meredith followed her family and friends from Pittsburgh to Hershey to serve as a houseparent at the Milton Hershey School from 1962-1980 and later as a supervisor for the Hershey Chocolate Company from 1980-2003. She developed a passion for the area while building lifelong friendships through her memberships at the First United Methodist Church, the Moehler Senior Center and her 50 year membership in the Order of the Eastern Star, Chapter #509 all of Hershey. During retirement she was blessed to watch Andy play high school sports, support her daughter, spend time with her loving companion Tom, treasure relationships with her nine nieces and nephews, travel and line dance with a circle of dear friends. Meredith experienced joy, peace and laughter until her last day as all these relationships graciously demonstrated their kindness, love and support. She was deeply grateful. A celebration of her life will be held at the First United Methodist Church, 64 West Chocolate Avenue, Hershey, on Tuesday, May 31st at 11:00am with a visitation beginning at 10:00am. Private interment will be at the Hershey Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Moehler Senior Center, 25 Hope Drive, Hershey PA 17033. I met Meredith the very first day I joined the Mohler Center in 2006. We did many things together, which included other line dancing members. I also am so glad I was able to visit Meredith
many times at Country Meadows. A wonderful friend
who will be sorely missed. My condolences to Cindy, Tom, Andy, and rest of the family.

I always remembered White Toast with the crust cut off. I always deviled her when she said she didn't sleep at night that I was going to bring cards in and we were goning have an all night poker party. She will truly be missed. You never missed a birthday card to Allison as she was growing up till she was 18 yrs old. I am so happy that I visited your beloved Hershey last year for your birthday.
