Gary Cassatt Obituary

DOVER-Gary W. "Mike" Cassatt Sr., 78, passed away Wednesday, April 13, 2022 at his residence in Newberry Township. He was the husband of the late Shirley I. (Hosler) Cassatt. They celebrated 56 years of marriage together. A Celebration of Life Tribute will be private at the convenience of the family. Beaver Urich Funeral Home, Inc., 305 W. Front Street, Lewisberry is in charge of arrangements. Born April 21, 1943 in Harrisburg, he was a son of the late Thomas K. and Mildred M. (Foster) Cassatt. He was employed with Donnely Technologies in York for several years as a welder. An avid baseball and racing fan, he also enjoyed fishing, throwing horseshoes and playing billiards. Above all though, she loved being with her family and cherished the time spent with them Mr. Cassatt is survived by 1 son, Gary W. Cassatt Jr., and his wife, Heather of New Cumberland; 4 daughters, Bonnie E. Kelly and husband, James of York Haven, Christine M. Cassatt of Hagerstown, Connie L. Caka and husband, Joe of Enola and Millie M. Cassatt-Miller and husband, Ron of New Cumberland; 14 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren, one sister, Faye Sue Lassiter of Harrisburg and nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by 3 sisters and 6 brothers. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Kindred Hospice, 205 Grandview Ave, Suite 304, Camp Hill, Pa 17011.
