Vernon ' David F. Cole, age 71, of Vernon passed away unexpectedly Sunday afternoon October 22, 2023 at his home.He was born on October 22, 1952 in Oneida, NY a son of the late Jessie and Mary Lucille (Heady) Cole and was a graduate of the Vernon Verona Sherrill Schools.On October 19, 1974 David and Kathy A. Coleman were united in the Vernon Center Presbyterian Church and have shared this loving vow of over 49 years together.Dave was the owner and operator of Dave Cole Building & Repair, if it was broken, he could repair it and if you wanted it built, he could build it. He loved his wife, his family, his work and would help anyone in a time of need.Surviving is his loving wife, Kathy A. Cole, one sister, Dawn (Alan) Durant, two brothers, Dane (Lynn) Cole and Don Cole, brothers-in-law, Bob Spink, John D. Coleman and Tim Lints. Sister-in-law Debbie (Ron) Hans along with many nieces and nephews.David was predeceased by his parents, Jessie and Mary Lu Cole, infant daughter Tammy Lynn Cole, sister Diane Spink, brothers Dean Cole and Dan Cole, sisters-in-law Bonnie Lints, Kim R. Coleman and Patricia M. Coleman.Family and friends are invited to call on Monday, October 30, 2023 from 12:00 Noon to 2:00 pm at the Malecki Funeral Home Inc., 23 Front Street, NY.
