Preceded in death by parents, James and Alice; sister, Kathleen McCormick McLaughlin. Survived by wife, Bonnie; daughters, Maggie McCormick and Kellie McCormick Corcoran (Brenan Corcoran); brothers, James (Joanna), Tom, Bob (Michele); sister, Rosemary Knorr (Ernie).
Visitation begins Thursday, November 16, 2023, 4:30 p.m. with a Wake Service at 7 p.m. at St. John's Catholic Church Creighton Campus. Mass of Christian Burial Friday, November 17, 2023, 10 a.m. St. John's Catholic Church. Private interment. Memorials to Creighton University.

Rich was the sortof colleague I wish everyone could have...kind, caring, thoughtful, humble, and positive. Working alongside Rich for so many years still brings a smile to my face decades later as a heartwarming memory of the innumerable stories he recounted to his fellow "road warriors" raising support for Creighton. And every story somehow still always brought up "Bonnie and the girls". My heart is with you. Rest in peace, friend.

I am so sorry to learn of Rich´s passing. I cannot think of anyone who exemplified what Creighton University is and its mission than Rich. I am very grateful for having known him, and for being able to spend time with him. My condolences to his entire family and his Creighton family.

Such sad news. Rich was a classmate and colleague of my husband, Jim Nolan, and mine. Always so welcoming, always caring and kind, Rich represents the very best of Creighton in so many ways. What a loss to his family, friends, colleagues and everyone who knew Rich. Our deepest condolences.
