loving father and grandfather

FRANKLINVILLE - Thomas C. Molyneaux, of Route 16, passed away Wednesday (Oct. 25, 2023) at Buffalo General Hospital, following an apparent heart attack.

Tom was born July 14, 1950, in Olean, and was the son of Charles G. and Christine VanHosen Molyneaux.

Tom was a 1968 graduate of Ten Broeck Academy. He continued his education at Houghton College, where he graduated with his bachelor's degree in teaching in 1972.

Tom was an elementary school teacher at Franklinville Central School from 1972 until his retirement in 2000. He drove at Olean Limo for a period of time then he also drove bus for A&E Transport and OATS.

Tom enjoyed a great sense of humor and gardening. Tom was witty, charming and always willing to lend a helping hand. He liked to take his family on adventures to Disney World. Chattanooga and many other places on the east coast. He taught his sons valuable lessons that they kept close to heart even as they traveled far. He will be greatly missed.

Tom is survived by three sons, Justin C. (Sheena) Molyneaux, Bennett N. (Bin Ge) Molyneaux and Zachary T. Molyneaux, all of San Francisco Calif.; three grandchildren, Chloe, Bryce and Aurelia; three brothers, John (Ruth Ann) Molyneaux of Rockford, Ill., Peter Molyneaux of Olean and James (Carol) Molyneaux of Portville; and several nieces and nephews.

Tom was predeceased by his parents.

At this time there will be no services. Burial will be in Mount Pleasant Cemetery.

Arrangements are under the direction of the Babbitt & Easton Funeral Home, 7 N. Main St., Franklinville.
