Jeffery Allen Mellon

OLEAN --- Jeffery A. Mellon, of 304 1/2 Coleman Street, Olean, NY passed away on Friday, April 22, 2022, at Olean General Hospital. Jeff was a cancer survivor fighting to maintain a quality of life, but complications ensued leading to his sudden passing.

Jeff was born January 29, 1964, in Delaware, and was the son of Carol Teaster and his adoptive father William "Bill" Mellon. On May 26, 1984, Jeff married his wife of 37 years, Pamela J. Miller who survives.

Jeff graduated from Allegany Central School in 1982 and was a proud football player of the Blue Devils family. He worked at The Castle restaurant in his early years, and was a proud member of the Olean Kiwanas Club. In 2004, Jeff started his own business, Mellon Technology, an IT and tech company focused on making custom software for 360 virtual photography. He made his hobby of photography into a profession in his later years. Jeff was a member of Christ United Methodist Church.

Jeff is survived by his two children, Amanda (Joseph) Herne and Andrew Mellon, both of Olean, NY. He was blessed with three grandchildren, Liam, Declan, and Elwyn.

He was predeceased by his parents.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, April 26, 2022, at Christ United Methodist Church, 633 Linwood Ave, Olean, NY. Rev. Carrie S. Wolfe will be officiating the service.
