Helen Pajak Obituary

Helen Pajak, 96, of Greenville, S.C., formerly of Bentleyville, passed away Tuesday, April 12, 2022, in Greenville, S.C.

Mrs. Pajak was born January 19, 1926, in Ellsworth, daughter of the late Matthew and Mary Gneszda Bertovich.

Helen graduated from Bentleyville High School in 1943, and then went on to be a homemaker.

On May 22, 1946, she married her husband, Andy Pajak Jr., who died January 8, 2005.

Surviving are two sons, Andrew P. Pajak (Linda), of Niantic, Conn. and Thomas M. Pajak (Deb), of Harrisburg; one daughter, Linda Hollingshad (Nick), of Greenville, S.C.; seven grandchildren; and ten great-grandchildren.

Deceased in addition to her husband, is her sister, Pauline Bertovich.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. in the St. Katharine Drexel Parish (Bentleyville Campus, 126 Church Street), Friday, April 22, 2022, with Rev. Edward Yuhas as celebrant. Interment will be private.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the Greenlee Funeral Home, 619 Main Street, Bentleyville, PA.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks donations be made to the Carnegie Library of Pittsburgh, Library for Accessible Media, www.carnegielibrary.org/donate/support-1bph.
