Brian Pearson Obituary
PEARSON-Brian James Monroe, age 70, of Bayside, NY passed away on December 26th, 2021. His daughter, Jessica Pearson, former-wife Christine Pearson, and partner, Mary Anne McGranaghan were at his side through his final week.
Squarehead burned through life leaving behind an incredible collection of stories, friends, artwork, and artifacts. Learning to fly without a license, sailing the Koukla across the Caribbean, jetting off to Key West for the world's best pina colada, betting it all in Vegas, dancing through New Year's in Amsterdam, soaking up the sun in Greece, cheering opening day of the Mets and Belmont Stakes, and tipping big across New York, all while accompanied by the magic carpet bag that was his L.L. Bean boat tote.
A proud member of the IATSE Local 52 union he worked on countless film and television productions including Sex and the City, The Sopranos, 30 Rock, Rescue Me, and Goodfellas. Beyond carpentry, Brian was an inspired artist and craftsman, creating paintings, carvings, oddities, and wood inlay gifts for everyone he was fortunate to know. He will be remembered for his sense of style. Who else could pair snake-skin cowboy boots with a mustard-colored dinner jacket?
In Brian's honor, we invite you to raise a toast, have a smoke, buy a box, or crash a parade with Squarehead-esque bravado.
A celebration of Brian's life will be held at Monahan and Fitzgerald's when the weather warms. Aces across the board. See you on the flipside.

I was sorry to hear this today. I often think of Brian and me when we were young and up to no good I am glad that he reached out to me last year it was great to reminisce. I will always miss him and the times we spent together. With thoughts of you Christine. Love and peace

To many memories. I remember on outings on my dads boat (koukla), he would offer me a drink at 11am and tell me it was 11 ok somewhere in the world. Many good times and memories .
