Jimmie E. Beck, age 87, of Hebron, IL, passed away Friday, October 27, 2023 while in the company of family members, at his residence.
He was born in Chicago, IL on November 11, 1935, a son of the late Theresa (Janisch) and Henry Julius Beck.
A graduate of Lane Tech High School in Chicago, he served in the U.S. Army from 1955 to 1957.
He was married to Eugenia May Hund on April 4, 1959, in Chicago.
He was a carpenter for over 50 years, working for Talmadge Construction and Daniel E. Beck Construction.
He had a wonderful life, spending time with his family, bowling with friends, woodworking and helping others. He was a known dog lover who was loved by his and everyone else's pets.
Jimmie is survived by his wife Eugenia, two daughters Sandy Degner, Cindie (Arthur) Eckfritz, five sons Gary (Sara) Stephan, Dan (Judi) Beck, Jim (Kari) Beck, Jeff (Theresa) Beck, Tim (Angela) Beck, all of Hebron; 17 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren. He was preceded by his parents, an infant sister and lifelong friends Paul Haufe, Dick Antonson and George Aigner.
Visitation will be from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday at Ehorn-Adams Funeral Home 10011 Main St, Richmond, IL. with funeral services at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, November 2, 2023 at the Richmond chapel.
Interment will be in Alden Cemetery at Alden, IL. with military honors.
