Michael Perrone Obituary

So sorry to hear of Mike's passing. Met up with Mike at Palmira Golf Club and loved playing with him. The teacher in him was always giving me pointers, and when I try to use them I always think of my dear friend.

Not many people remember the names of people who have not had an impact on their life. It´s a tribute that after 60 or so years, people will reach out to the family of someone who can best be described as a visionary. He was sincere and the real thing..... down to earth! You should all be very proud of his legacy. Please accept our heartfelt condolences on your loss.

My condolences to your entire family. I am a member of the graduating class of 1964, North Haven HS. Mr. Perrone was my favorite teacher and I was honored to be one of his "Blue Birds ". I met him during my adult years while he was a Superintendent and I was a member of my Town´s BOE. He was an amazing teacher and I remember him fondly.

Dave, Michael and Mrs. Perrone, I am so sorry hear of Dr. P's passing and you are all in my thoughts during this time of loss. Dr. Perrone was a wonderful man, one of the first men outside my family to show genuine interest in me, to support me, to lift me up in my high school days. He came to many of our Laker basketball games, not just because he was our Superintendent, but because he genuinely cared about us, and always made an effort to talk to me about the last game when I came by your house, or just to chat about sports, high school, life, etc. I often think about those many conversations and how comfortable I felt hanging around the Perrone house--not typical of many superintendents, I'd proffer! All my best to you all!
