Passed away on July 25, 2021 in Bellingham at the age of 84. Virginia was born in San Francisco, CA and raised in San Bruno, CA. She moved her family to Bellingham, WA in 1970. In the early 80's, she owned and operated The Cabin Tavern until moving to Everett, WA where she worked at Boeing until her retirement. Once Virginia retired, she moved to San Carlos, Mexico where she had many friends and was an active member of the Art League.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Virginia Caetano and Raymond Flanders; sister, Joan Flanders Sexton and partner, Jim Chandler.
Virginia is survived by her daughters, Kathi Hansey, Karen Chaffin and Kerbi Pryor; son, Kristopher (Kim) Chaffin; grandchildren, David (Anna) Wolfson, Lindsay Wolfson (Ashley), Melissa, Clyde Pryor, Makenzie (Andrew) Stocker, Nichole Miller, Tucker (Stephanie) Chaffin, Taylie Chaffin, Michael Vander Guessen, Nichole Vander Guessen; great grandchildren, Isabella, Jaxson, Kyler, Mavrik, Julian, Haylee, Rusk, Chet, Fletcher and Prudence; brothers, Ray (Glen), Louis (Gloria) and Robert Flanders and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
