Versie Fernandez Obituary

Versie Mae Fernandez, 70, of Cowpens, SC entered into eternal rest on Wednesday morning, June 8, 2022 in Spartanburg Medical Center - Mary Black Campus. A native of Spartanburg, SC, she was the daughter of Hettie Lee Logan Mitchell and the late Ulysses Mitchell. She was the widow of Jerry Wayne Fernandez, Sr. At an early age, she joined Holy Temple.
Ms. Fernandez was preceded in death by one son, Jerry Wayne Fernandez, Jr.; one brother, Shelton Mitchell; and two sisters, Janet Elizabeth Mitchell and Shirley Ann Dewberry.
She leaves to cherish fond memories, her mother, Hettie Lee Logan Mitchell; two daughters, Lanna Fernandez and Ciera Fernandez; seven grandchildren; one brother, Chad Dwayne (Demecka K.) Mitchell; three sisters, Sheila Draper, Jacqueline Mitchell, and Tanesha West; and a host of other relatives, neighbors, and friends, all of whom will miss her dearly. The family will receive friends at 210 Bunche Circle, Cowpens, SC. Arrangements are with Community Mortuary, 102 Marion Avenue, Spartanburg, SC.
