Katherine, I went to part of elementary then thru high school with Russell. I have not seen or spoken to him since graduation, but I do remember what a nice guy he was as he was growing up. Not only a good athlete, but a good boy.He seemed to have a self assurance about him and ability to handle situations. Reading his obit makes me realize he was the real deal.I am sure he will be sorely missed. Hold tight to those memories. I am sorry for your loss.
