Michael Groth Obituary

Mike passed into Eternal Life on Sunday, June 19, 2022, at the age of sixty-two. Beloved husband of Brenda (nee Peterson) for 29 years. Loving son of Audrie and (the late) Paul. Proud father of Brandon (Samantha Stefferud) and Josh. Also loved by siblings Kelli (Scott) Zickus, Bob (Karen), Jim (Cindy) and other relatives and friends.
Born in Del Rio, Texas on March 12, 1960, to Paul and Audrie while Paul was stationed there in the Air Force, Mike joined sister Kelli. The family moved to Racine, WI and Kelli and Mike were joined by brothers Bob and Jim.
Many family memories followed. Mike could always be found working on anything with two wheels (bikes) or four wheels (go carts in the garage or later, the family AMC Rebel). Cousins would visit and play records in the basement of Jerome Blvd. Many times, Mike could be found staring at the family Christmas tree. He would even lay underneath it at times. Christmas was always his favorite holiday, making sure as an adult all the decorations were hung with care. He loved the family camping trips with all the cousins at Lake Shores campground and Pow Wow campground. He loved fishing with his grandpa and others.
He continued that love of camping as an adult when he and Brenda would visit various campgrounds around Wisconsin. Mike also loved staying at Brenda's family place up north. He was always at peace sitting around the campfire. He enjoyed going to the beach and, occasionally, the casino while up north. Mike loved the Packers and will bring his favorite Packer shirt and hat as he moves on.
Mike will be missed by everyone he encountered during his life. He will always be a part of our lives.

A picnic will be held later this summer to honor the life of Mike.
