Mary Adams (Caldwell) aka Sissy, Susan took her final breath on October 17, 2023 in Cheyenne, Wyoming (resided in Laramie, Wyoming). The sun rose and the world welcomed Mary on November 07, 1961, a day the world became a little brighter. Mary lived a very caring life helping anyone who crossed her path. Her smile will never be forgotten, her laugh will never be unheard, and her kindness never unnoticed. Sissy will be adoringly remembered and sorely missed. Pip

From Mary I learned that life is short and messy and imperfect and we don't always get our fairytale ending or full-circle moment. When I learned of Mary's cardiac event, I was so angry at the injustice of the situation. I wanted us to have our redemptive moment of sitting in her home drinking coffee and celebrating how far we'd both come from when, and the circumstances under which, we first met. I wanted to spend years getting to bask in remembering Mary as a continued significant person in my life and get to warmly hug her upon running into her around town for years and years to come. But, I suppose that isn't the way our story goes. Instead, I'll remember Mary as someone who taught me that life may be short and fleeting but that it is still worth it; as someone whose presence encourages me to embrace my own quirks and that you can never have too much heart memorabilia; and as someone who always felt so very alive and warm and dear to me even through a difficult part of her own journey. I will always remember you Mary and I hope somewhere out there we meet again.
