Karol Kay Ognoskie was born in Houston, Texas on August 3, 1956 to Viola O. and Peter P. Ognoskie of which she was their only child. She lived in the Spring Branch area of Houston all of her life, and attended St. Jerome's Catholic school until her middle school years. Karol was an active member of St. Jerome's serving in various areas as needed. As an advocate for animals, she contributed to organizations such as the ASPCA, humane society, and the Houston Zoo. Karol enjoyed being around children and was a God parent to her first Godson Allen Ray Ognoskie Jr. then to his son Kodie Blaine Ognoskie at his baptism at St. Jerome's as well at age two. She attended all family functions of the many families that she was a part of giving equal time to all. Karol was kind to everyone around her and will be greatly missed.
The Ognoskie family will be present to receive friends Wednesday, June 29, 2022, from 9:00 AM until 10:00 AM at St. Jerome Catholic Church, 8825 Kempwood Drive, Houston, TX 77080. The Funeral Mass will take place Wednesday, June 29, 2022, at 10:00 AM at St. Jerome Catholic Church. Ms. Ognoskie will be laid to rest in Woodlawn Cemetery near her parents following the service.
