Judy Gayle Alcorn, 73, of Smyrna, TN passed away suddenly on June 9th, 2022. She was born on August 19th, 1948 in Orlando Florida, and was the first born and first daughter of Kenneth Lankford and Elizabeth Lankford of Gallatin, TN.
Judy was a loving Mother, Sister, Aunt, and Great Aunt. She loved and adored children and always had a soft spot in her heart for their welfare, a passion she learned from caring for her own siblings growing up.
On holidays she was known for buying and providing presents, toys, and clothing to families who struggled to make the holiday a good one for their children. Judy was also an avid fan of animals, and was a patron and lover of all types of family pets and creatures. She grew up on a farm and appreciated them from her childhood. She had a heart of gold, her wealth was in her deeds.
She loved to travel whenever possible and had a life long love affair with the beach. She made a point to take yearly vacations with her son Gene and friends to Tybee Island and Savannah, Ga. These were her two favorite places to enjoy the sea air and relax.
People were always drawn to her natural personality and plain spoken charm. She had friends from every walk of life and maintained her friendship and love for them through out her life.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by two husbands Larry Osburn Sr. and Robert Alcorn. Also a close brother and sister Larry Lankford and Patty McNeal.
She is survived by her only son Gene Osburn of Atlanta, and her sister and brother Linda Woodward, and Eddie Lankford. Also surviving is a brother in-law William Woodward, and sister in-laws Karen Lankford and Brenda Lankford.
Special Thanks to all her close friends who supported her during her illness and took the time to spread sunshine into her life. She truly loved all of you.
