Agnew, H. James (July 12, 2022). Beloved husband of Debra Agnew (nee DeHart). Loving father of Allison Agnew, Julia Dardaris, James A. Agnew, and Ryan H. Agnew. Relatives and friends are invited to James' Funeral Service Friday 7/29, 11am at St. Thomas Church, Whitemarsh, 7020 Camp Hill Rd., Fort Washington, PA 19034. Interment Whitemarsh Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers contributions in James' name may be made to Chestnut Hill Meals on Wheels, 1710 Bethlehem Pike, Flourtown, PA 19031.
James was born on June 15, 1968 in Philadelphia, PA. After graduating from Springfield High School, he attended Shippensburg University where he was a member of the Lambda Chi Alpha fraternity and received a degree in Business. He subsequently went into the insurance business.
In June 2003, he married Debra DeHart and their 19 year marriage included many happy memories with their 4 children in their Flourtown home. James also enjoyed taking the family to the Outer Banks, Aruba and Steamboat Springs, Colorado.
James retired from the insurance business in 2019. He loved spending time with his family and friends, traveling, playing golf, skiing and attending sporting events. He was a witty, intelligent and generous man who touched the hearts of many he knew throughout the years.
James' last few days were peaceful and he passed away while doing what he loved – spoiling his family in a beautiful place with an ocean view. He will be missed tremendously and will live on through the memories of his closest family members and friends.
