Elaine Smith Obituary

Mrs. Elaine Smith, 99, of Fayetteville, North Carolina, passed away peacefully at home on October 26,2025. Elaine lived a long and blessed life devoted to her faith, family, and community. She was a devoted homemaker who found great joy in caring for her children, husband, others, attending church, daily Bible study, and playing the piano at home and church. She was a shining example of grace and compassion, and enjoyed sewing clothes for her daughters. Elaine is the last of the Boone cousins. She held a wealth of memories and information about past relatives that is gone forever. Yet, we will meet again.

She is survived by her children: Cheryl Smith of Fayetteville, Janice Smith of Fayetteville, Chuck Smith of Fayetteville, Kris Smith (Sandra) of Spring Lake. Also, her grandchildren: Cameron Pell (Jessica) of Fayetteville, Casey Cannan (Wendy) of Raeford, Rhiannon Gauthier of AZ, Jesse Stuart (Angela) of TX, Jason Buggy of Fayetteville, Hannah (Ben) Rudy of MO, Rachael (Jonathan) Strogoff of Spring Lake, Caleb Smith of Spring Lake, and Jared Smith (Faith) of LA. Also, six great-grandchildren. Her legacy will continue to live on through her family and all who were blessed to know her.
