Deborah Brown Obituary

Deborah (Debbie) Penny Brown, age 69, of Dickson, TN, passed away September 3, 2021 at TriStar Horizon Medical Center.
Debbie was born July 3, 1952, in Flint, MI, to the late Albert and Mary Ellen (Tripp) Williams.
Although she had the name Deborah, or Debbie, there were several others that she gained throughout the years. She was a wife, devoted for 51 years, known to John as "Deb"; she was a mother, known as "Ma" to her boys. She loved her boys for sure, but the name she was most proud of was Nana, or Great-Nana. She worshiped each one of her grandchildren. She was at every football, baseball, and softball game, dance recitals, taekwondo meet, band competition, or whatever event there was. She loved her family; always trying to make each one feel special. On holidays or special occasions, she always tried to fix the family favorites. In addition to being Nana, she also enjoyed cruising and vacationing; the Tennessee Titans, and her most favorite, Bingo; she would have one of the biggest table spreads at the Bingo game. She worked in the dietary department at Horizon Medical Center, retiring with almost 30 years of service.
Those left to cherish her memory are her husband, Johnny Brown of Dickson,TN; two sons, Dennis (Lynn) Brown of Burns, TN, and Randy Brown of Dickson, TN; six grandchildren, Dennis Jr., Brittany, Tanner, Samantha, Taylen, and Justin Brown; and two great-grandchildren, Danielle and Waylen.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by three brothers, Roy Williams, Herman Williams, and Rogers Williams.
Visitation with the family will be Tuesday, September 7, 2021 from 10:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. at Dickson Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be Tuesday, September 7, 2021 at 1:00 p.m., at the Chapel of Dickson Funeral Home; with Bro. Donnie Spann officiating. Interment will follow in Dickson County Memorial Gardens.
