Bryant A. Gough, 66 of North Kingstown, RI passed away surrounded by his loving family on Sunday, November 14, 2021. He was the beloved husband of Karen A. Gough (Babcock). Born March 6, 1955, he was the son of the late Leon and Bernice (Podgurski) Gough and raised in West Warwick, RI.
Bryant built a career as a Certified Dental Technician where he proudly worked behind the scenes giving people beautiful and healthy smiles. His greatest job however was done in the home, where he was the loving and devoted father to his children. He leaves his daughter Brea Hutchinson and her husband Keith of West Greenwich, RI, his son Derick Gough and his fiancé Rickie DePalo of Pawtucket, RI, his stepson Zachary Carter of Providence, RI, and two grandchildren Trey and Avery Hutchinson. He is survived by two sisters Colleen Freitas and her husband John of Coventry, RI and Bernice Hand and her husband Paul of Phoenix, AZ, and several loving nieces.
Bryant was a generous, caring man with a great sense of humor. He was an excellent athlete in any sport he played. You couldn't escape a night out without hearing about a football or baseball memory from his school years, they were years well played! He was an avid golfer throughout his life and his happiest of days were often out playing with friends and family. However, family and faith were paramount and through them his life was fulfilled with great gratitude. We will forever remember Bryant's strength and courage.
Calling hours will be Saturday, November 20 from 1:00 – 3:00 p.m. at Carpenter-Jenks Funeral Home, 659 East Greenwich Avenue, West Warwick, RI, immediately followed with a Catholic Prayer Service at 3:00 p.m. Per Bryant's request, please dress casually. Also, Bryant was an organ recipient in 2011, because of a young man's selfless decision to become an organ donor Bryant and his family were blessed with over 10 additional loving years together. Please consider being an organ donor in Bryant's memory, give the gift of life and continued memories. We believe strongly that Josh and Bryant are now eternal friends sharing a big hug of appreciation with each other.
In lieu of flowers, memorials in his name may be made to American Cancer Society, Central Donation Office, P.O. Box 22718, Oklahoma City, OK 73123-1718. Remembrances may be shared at carpenterjenks.com.
