Years passed since that meeting. When we met again,not only was he a teacher but a coach as well. David gentle spirit and warm smile will always be remembered. Condolences to the wife and family of Rev. Robert Reid (Coach). A true leader in every aspect of the word. As a young Teacher & Coach of the Central High School students this Giant in stature moved through the halls and didn´t need to make a lot of noise to get his point across and yet influenced & changed the course of so many lives looking up to him effortlessly. I am sorry for the loss of your love one. I We worked with is to his daughter Janine for she was our Finance Manager at Duke Health. The kindness, the willingness to be there for her team is something that you are taught. His legacy will live on through his family. The days ahead will be one of sorrow for a while, but the Lord is there to provide what is needed day by day!

Coach Reid was a true asset to Central High School. He was a kind man and my `81 classmates were very fortunate to have him attend a reunion a few years back. He will be missed.

I am saddened to learn of the transition of Robert Reid.Before his health deteriorated, we had frequent conversations at the Wellness Center where we both attended. Rest in peace my dear friend. My deepest condolences to his beloved wife Carol, as well as their children.
