Melinda Best Obituary

COLUMBUS – Melinda "Mindy" Best, 53, of Columbus passed away unexpectedly on June 6 at her residence.

She was born Nov. 15, 1968, in Cincinnati. She was adopted by Gene and Kay Best of Delphos. Her father preceded her in death and her mother survives in Delphos.

Other survivors include her special friend, John Boyd of Columbus; a sister, Jodi (Jeffrey) Harris of Charlotte, North Carolina; a nephew, Justin Harris; a niece, Jayden Harris; many aunts and uncles; many cousins; and her beloved dog, Sienna.

She was also preceded in death by a brother, Eric Best.

Mindy owned Confido Enterprises and she and John flipped houses. She was a 1987 graduate of Jefferson High School and a former member of Trinity United Methodist Church in Delphos. She was also a graduate of The Ohio State University, earning a degree in psychology. She was a huge Buckeye fan and enjoyed attending football games. She loved scuba diving, sailing and being in and near the water and spending time with her family.

A celebration of life will be held at 11 a.m. on June 30 at the Trinity United Methodist Church at 211 E. Third St. in Delphos.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are to the American Cancer Society.
