Tawanda Faye Baker was born on May 26, 1971, in Lake City, Florida to the late Rosetta C. Curry and Lorenzo Baker. She was the stepdaughter of Deacon Samuel Curry. She departed from this earthly realm on April 8, 2022 and entered into eternal rest. Tawanda graduated from Columbia High School with the class of 1989 and was employed with Terminix Pest Control, Tampa, FL.

Left to cherish loving memories are her sons, Ny'ene Baker, Camp Pendleton, CA, and Sharqil Baker, Tampa, FL; stepfather, Deacon Samuel Curry; grandchildren, Cataleya Baker, and Ja'nyla Reynolds; sisters, Stacy Baker, Kimberly Joseph, and Samantha Curry; brothers, Pharoah Baker, III, and Meashack Hughes; hosts of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
Graveside services for Tawanda F. Baker will be 12:00 noon Saturday, April 23, 2022, at St. James Cemetery, NW Falling Creek Road, Lake City, FL.
Walk-through viewing will be from 6:00 - 7:00 p.m. Friday, April 22, 2022, at the funeral home.
