John Ashley Obituary
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Friday, Dec. 3, at Nelson-Bauer Funeral Home in Holdrege with the Rev. Jean Clayton officiating. The funeral service will be livestreamed via the Nelson-Bauer Funeral Home's Facebook page.
Interment will follow at Prairie Home Cemetery in Holdrege.
Visitation will be 5-8 p.m. Thursday with family greeting friends 6-7:30 p.m. at the funeral home .
John was born in Holdrege on Oct. 25, 1936, to Glenn Raymond and Ellen Hedwig Gustava (Westergren) Ashley.
He married Janet Marquis on Dec. 30, 1961.
Survivors include his wife, Janet Ashley of Holdrege; four children, Bradley Ashley of Holdrege, Linette Chewey of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, Tami Ashley of Lincoln and Lisa Neil of Adams; one sister, LaDonna Schluterbusch of Sidney; eight grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
