Scott McIntyre Obituary
February 20, 1956 - November 5, 2023
Bonner Springs, Kansas - Scott Reed McIntyre, age 67, of Bonner Springs, KS, passed away on Sunday, November 5, 2023.
Born Feb. 20, 1956, in Herington, KS, to Ralph 'Barr' McIntyre and Ruby Forsberg Mcintyre, Scott graduated from Herington High in 1974, went on to KU for a BS Degree in 1978, then earned a MHA from MU in 1985. He married Lise Kerr, of Luray, MO, in 1986, and to this union was born a son, Andrew.
Scott's career included hospital leadership roles in NJ, TN, IA, FL, OK and KS. Professional recruiting brought him back to KS, then upon retirement, he took on several positions to stay busy.
Proud to be a Kansas native, Scott cheered on KU and enjoyed golf, poker, car maintenance, woodworking and wine making. Most importantly was devotion to his family.
He was preceded in death by parents, sister-in-law, Jane McIntyre, nephews, Joshua McIntyre, and Travis Smith.
Survivors include his wife, Lise, son Andrew (Alexandra) of KC, KS, brother Christoper McIntyre of Herington, nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.
A Celebration of Life will be Sun, Nov. 19, 2:00 p.m., at Lake Forest Clubhouse in Bonner Springs, Family and friends are invited to stay afterwards to share memories.
In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting donations to the Red Cross, or donate a pint of blood.
