Lawrence Rosine Obituary
December 11, 1930 - November 3, 2023
Leawood, Kansas - Larry, (aka, W0OG), age 92, of Leawood, Kansas passed away November 3, 2023, at Menorah Medical Center. He was preceded in death by his parents, his grandparents, his cousin Gene Rosine and sister-in-law Debbie Brick. Survivors include his wife of 47 years, Sally Thompson Rosine, his three daughters Linda Rosine (Harold Farren), Catherine Rosine (Julie Jager), Anna Rosine Leitch (Robert), nephews Aaron Brick (Tylynn) and Jamie Brick (Nicole), four grandchildren, two great grandchildren, five great nieces and nephews, and their beloved dog Bowser. Larry was everything from a farm boy, surveyor, draftsman in the Core of Engineers, university instructor, electrical engineer, consultant to NASA, NSF and others, writer, editor, avid ham radio builder, ham radio operator, president of the Antique Radio Association, and a co-puppy raiser for Canine Companions with his wife Sally. He had a special love for dogs, a great sense of humor and was incredibly intelligent. Celebration of Life will be at Village Presbyterian Church on Antioch, Jan. 2nd, 2024, at 11:00, 14895 Antioch Rd. Overland Park, KS 66221 with a light lunch to follow. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Canine Companions North Central Chapter, 7480 New Albany-Condit Rd, New Albany, Ohio 43054 care of Nancy Whetstone or Antique Wireless Association P.O. So very sorry to read of Larry's passing. I was just working on the Rosine family tree and had received a great email from him earlier this year, after my father Gene Rosine, passed away. I hope they are having a great time together, as they did as cousins growing up in Strasburg.
