Michelle Tulis Obituary

Michelle Lynn Ouellet Tulis
Michelle Lynn Ouellet Tulis, born on August 22, 1981, passed away on October 23, 2023, after a long illness.
As a young girl, she was active in girls' softball and later played for a Stafford league. After graduating from E. O. Smith High School, she worked in accounts payable at Carol's Cleaning and Powersource. She also worked with her partner in the roofing business. She enjoyed music, especially country music, loved the beach and spent many summers in her grandparents' pool. Michelle was an accomplished skater and loved indoor rolling skating with her daughter. An animal lover since she was young, she cared for her two Nubian goats and worked at a stable where she learned to groom, ride and jump the horses. She was always quick to rescue and care for any stray cat or dog.
Michelle is survived by her daughter, Katelynn Smalley, her parents, Debbie and Ralph Tulis, her uncle and his partner, Doug Sterner and Lenny Paolillo, her aunt, Sue Sterner, and her cousins, Chris and Sheri Sterner. She was predeceased by her partner of many years, John Smalley, her biological father, Rick Ouellet, her maternal and paternal grandparents, Bill and Edie Sterner and Cecile and Lucien Ouellet, and her uncle, Mike Sterner. We will miss her dearly and know she is at peace now reunited with her loved ones.
Many thanks to the nursing staff, hospice nurses and doctors at the Hospital of Central Connecticut.
Funeral services are private at the request of the family. In lieu of flowers, donations to the medical research facility of your choice are appreciated. For online condolences, please visit www.carmonfuneralhome.com
