Phil and I went law school together. I haven't been in contact with him in a very long time. His friendship helped me through law school. He helped start the Juvenile law center which still operates in the forefront of the struggle for justice.

Philip Margolis was my third cousin. His mother Doris was my late mother Gail, nee Pitluk's, first cousin. Doris' mother Jeanette was my grandfather Simon Pitluk's sister. I didn't know that he attended Von Steuben H.S. I always thought that he and Gene attended Lane Tech before it became coeducational. I'm sorry that we all weren't closer family. I wish my cousins Norma, Gene and their families my sincere condolences from Naples, Florida, where I currently live. May his memory be a blessing.
