August 27, 2001 - July 24, 2021
Bahama, North Carolina - Curtis Darin Roberts, 19, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, July 24, 2021. He was born in Durham, the son of Christopher Freeman and Kelly Michealla Roberts.
Curtis loved fishing, camping, hunting, riding his dirt bikes and four wheelers with his brother, and was an die hard UNC Tar Heel fan. He was a one-of-a-kind man who was very helpful and caring with everyone. Curtis had a premature son that came two months early, so Curtis was able to enjoy his first Father's Day with his son.
In addition to his parents, Curtis is also survived by his son, Luke Calvin Roberts; fiancé, Cara Michellen Lamb; brother, Andrew Blake Roberts; sisters, Blessing Loumae Wilkins, Destiny Lynn Medlin, Christina Freeman; step-father, Junior Edwards; grandfather, Terry Roberts; grandfather, Jackie Freeman; grandmother, Anita Howerton; great-grandfather, Wayne T. Howerton Sr.; aunts and uncle; Kimberly Roberts, Heather Carver; Tina and Michael Duda; nieces, Serenity Faith Solomon, Kaylee Milks; and nephew, Barrett Carver. Curtis was predeceased by his grandmother, Darlene Freeman; and great-grandparents, Calvin and Betty Lou Roberts, Minerva Howerton.
A funeral service will be held on 2 p.m., Saturday, July 31st at Ellis Chapel United Methodist Church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Friday, July 30th at Clements Funeral Home in Durham and at other times at Curtis's home at 5421 Bahama Rd., Bahama, NC 27572.
