Glenda Ragin
June 20, 1939 - April 2, 2022
York, South Carolina - Glenda Van Tassel Thompson Ragin passed away on April 2, 2022. Glenda was born on June 20, 1939 and was the daughter of the late Luther Glenn Van Tassel and Mabel Hendricks Van Tassel. She was predeceased by her husband, Frederick A. Thompson and husband, John James Ragin, Jr.
Surviving are her son, Frederick Van Tassel Thompson (Van); her step children, Jay Ragin (Suzanne), Cindy Hughes (Chuck); four step grandchildren, Cody Hughes, Ragin Hughes, Anna Prange (Gregg), and Luke Ragin and several cousins.
Glenda graduated from Rock Hill High School and The University of SC. She worked several places including Digital Computer. Glenda loved antiquing, reading, her dogs and spending time with her family.
A memorial service will be held at Greene Funeral Home, 2133 Ebenezer Road, Rock Hill, SC 29732 on Friday, April 8 at 10:30 am. Graveside service will follow at Philadelphia United Methodist Church, 2260 Chester Highway, York, SC.
In lieu of flowers, please donate to a charity of your choice.
