TOMMY SHEA Obituary

TOMMY SHEA SHERMAN - Thomas Robert Shea, Jr. 62, of Sherman, passed away on Wednesday, October 25, 2023, at his home in Sherman, Texas. On September 12, 1961, Tommy was born to Carol Ann Stover Shea and Dr. Thomas R. Shea in Dallas, Texas. He lived in Sherman for most of his life, valuing the close connections and friendships the community provided. Tommy graduated from Sherman High School and earned his Bachelor of Arts from Colorado State University in 1983. He then continued to St. Mary's University School of Law where he earned his JD and learned the finer points of the law, igniting the passion for justice that defined his legal career. Tommy loved the practice of law and the true impact he could make in the lives of his clients, zealously defending them with every ounce of his being. His dogged devotion to his clients earned him the respect of countless judges, colleagues and clients, a trait for which he will surely be remembered. The only thing Tommy loved more than the law was his family. His true joy was spending time with his wife of over twenty years Sheila VanSant Shea, both in and out of the courtroom. Tommy and Sheila shared a joy of common interests, and had a close connection envied by all that knew them. Tommy was preceded in death by his father Dr. Thomas R. So sorry to have missed this posting originally. My condolences to the Tommy´s family. I went to CSU with Tommy and we met our freshman year in Corbett Hall. Tommy was larger and than life and was a big influence upon me.
