Michael Morton Obituary
Northampton, MA - Michael Christopher Morton, 77, of Northampton, MA passed away unexpectedly on October 13, 2023. The son of the late Michael Morton and Mary Farley McNamara Morton. He was born in White Plains NY, on December 28, 1946.
At the age of five Michael attended art classes at the Museum of Modern Art in NYC. When he was in 5th and 6th grade, he was enrolled at PS 135 his teacher was Mr. Louis Wolfe, a children's book author. At the age of 11 Michael and his Mom moved to NYC. Michael went to Grace Church School in Greenwich Village for grades seven and eight, for high school he went on to Trinity-Pawling School in Pawling, NY.
In 1965 Michael moved to London, England. He has been a resident of Northampton for many years. He was self-employed as a Photographer.
Michael was proud to serve on the board of the Northampton disabilities commission. He was predeceased by his mother in 2019. Michael leaves cousins and many friends.
A graveside service will be held on Thursday October 26th at 1:30 PM in Spring Grove Cemetery in Florence, the Boucher – O'Brien Funeral Home was entrusted with his services. All are welcome to attend.

Michael was a trusted member of the Disabilities Commission and always had input for matters before the commission. He was a kind man and will be missed.

I am saddened to hear of Michael's passing. I enjoyed spending time with him and discussing the community he loved. I am grateful for his many years of service on the City of Northampton's Disability Commission. He will be very missed.
