Doc was one of the finest you would ever meet. He would always make you feel better just knowing he was the one that would be helping when you were sick. He made you feel like more than a patient but a friend. And always took extra time with you. Sure going to miss him

So sad to hear about Dr. GIALDE passing. He was my doctor for 45 years while living in Oak Grove and after moving to Lee´s Summit. He always listened to my concerns even when they didn´t have to do with health issues. His hugs, smile and caring advice will be missed. Sending my condolences and prayers to his family. So sorry I had to miss his celebration of life.

A very compassionate, attentive, caring GP with such a personality! He was my primary care doctor for the 35 plus years I lived in eastern Jackson and Lafayette counties before moving to Arizona. He will be missed, but he leaves such a legacy...

A wonderful doctor and a kind, funny and genuine person. His smile was infectious and his desire to help and heal was remarkable. Every time I saw him I got a hug, a pinch on the cheeks and a "Love You" when I left. He was my Doctor for over 35 years and a very dear friend to my parents. His love and legacy will be present forever. He will be greatly missed and always loved by all those who were blessed to know him.

Dr. Gialde had been my doctor for over 40 years along with all my family. He not only was the best doctor ever, he cared and NEVER forgot the smallest of details of his patients. He always had a smile and the best hugs that made you know he cared! His advice saved me many times. He will not only be missed as a physician but an amazing person. My heart breaks for his family, He spoke of his girls frequently with such pride. My deepest sympathies to his friends and family. He will forever be missed.

Our hearts are broken we can't believe he's gone. The last time I seen Steve was at Cascone's Restaurant when me, Steve, James [Gunner] Bayless, Sam DiMaggio, James [Jimmy] George, and Frank Cascone got together and talk about the good old days of growing up in our Northeast neighbor hood. He will be greatly missed by all of us and our family. Don and Jackie Oldham

Nichol, Stephanie and the Gialde family, I was very saddened and heartbroken to learn of the passing of your beloved husband, father family member and friend to everyone he met. I am praying that God with his infiinite love and mercy will hover over each of you and give you the peace that passes all understanding during this difficult time of loss and grief. Only God can comfort a broken heart and wipe away the tears of such tremendous sorrow you are feeling from such a profound loss such as losing your precious "Doc". My wish for you is that one of the grandchildren coming up will flash that "million dollar smile," and in some way you will see your beloved again through that loved one and smile and say, "That's Steve s saying here watching over us."

My memories go back to when my Lil (Mary ) and I babysat for Steve and Joann . The laughs we had were many he had a beautiful laugh and smile like his dad . I remember he pieced my ears with thread. He told me don’t be a baby it won’t hurt. So many lasting memories. Rest in peace. My love goes to all his children , grandchildren and family.

Last time I seen Steve, was at another wake for an Olive st. neighbor. he gave me that dynamite smile and a hug , we had not seen each other in years. Great guy and a wonderful family and the blessings of all we had from living on Olive st. There was nothng like it. Condolences to the family for a life well lived.

Dr Gialde delivered me in November 1980, and he was my doctor since then. He saw my family, my mom, aunt, grandma and grandpa. He was the nicest man, when I was little he would do the fish lips to me so that's when I would start calling him Dr Fish lips!! So sad he didn't get to enjoy retirement very long, but he loved what he did. He will be missed. =(

Dr. Steve was my doctor for over 30 years and a friend since I was a kid on Olive St. Playing "playing kick the can" with all neighborhood kids. When I went for my appointment Dr. Steve would talk about Olive St with the biggest smile. Not only was he my doctor, he was my therapist, but most of all we were friends. I will miss his hug he would give at the end of appointment. I only seen him when I had an appointments but it was like friends getting together, Dr. Steve will be missed, your smile and your laugh; I will miss your big hug too. Thank you for taking of me all these years.

My sincere condolences to the entire Gialde family for the loss of this great humanitarian fellow, Dr. Steve Gialde for whom I have many fond memories of my earlier days together in Kansas City. Though I lost contact with the Gialde family, connecting only recently with his older brother and my good friend Dr. Joe Gialde, I know what a pivotal role Steve played in this wonderful family and what a great loss his passing is to his family, his patients , co-workers, and his many friends. Steve left all of us with wonderful memories and a legacy of a life well lived. With my deepest sympathy and sincere condolences ,

Steve became our family's doctor when we moved to this area in 1981. Since that time he cared for us, our sons and later our grandchildren. What a wonderful doctor and friend. Whether you saw him in his office or in the grocery store, he instantly acknowledged you. Caring. Personable. Genuine. Gifted. He will forever be remembered and very missed.
