I worked with Doris in the DA's office, and she was a very special lady whom I thought of as a second mother. She had many great quotes that I hold dearly like,
"Growing old isn't for Sissy's!" and great motherly advice. I have a quilt she made for me with a print of horses that I hold close to my heart! I will miss you, Doris RIP! Sincere sympathy to her family. JoAnn & Jr Silva

My sincerest condolences to Family and friends of Doris. I had the privilege of meeting and getting to know her as only Doris could be. Definitely made an impression on me and am reminded at times to put my "Doris pants on" as only she could do so well. She will be sadly missed.

I am so saddened to hear about Doris passing. I worked with her 38 years ago at the Courthouse. Within the last 7 years (before COVID), I was fortunate to spend several lunch/dinner dates with her and my other Courthouse buddies when I visited PA from my home in CA. She was such a sweet lady and laughed easily. I only met 2 of her children, Cathy & Andy, who were very young back then! My condolences to you and the rest of your siblings.

I have so many fun memories of Doris when we worked together in the District Attorney´s office. In the warm weather, we would go out for a walk and go down to the farmers market and back. In the cold months, we would stay indoors and play Trivial Pursuit and Cards. She always, always, always beat me in Cards. In fact, she needlepointed two score sheets and framed them for me to remember. Lol. She always had a great sense of humor and yes, she did tell it like it is. But she would never take my advice and needlepoint her initials on the quilts she made for her grandchildren. She was just not a vain person.

To Doris's Family and sister Betty. I can't tell you what a wonderful friend and co-worker Doris was. She had a great attitude towards life. When our mutual friend Christine came in from California, we always managed to have lunch or supper - always the best time for good friends to stay in touch. Betty you have John's and my deepest Please let us know if you need anything. Much Love.

Loved Doris' "Tell it like it is" attitude when I worked with her in the DA's office. Hope her family has many happy memories of her to comfort them during this time.
